01What are sources?
Sources are the pages AI cites when it answers your tracked prompts: articles, forum threads, review sites, videos and brand sites.
02Why do sources matter?
AI builds its answers from the pages it cites. Knowing which pages and publishers it trusts in your category shows you where a brand needs to appear.
03What can I see for each source?
How often it is cited, what type of page it is, which domain it sits on, when it was first and last seen and a trend of citations over time.
04Can I see which prompts a source influences?
Yes. Open any source to see every prompt that cites it, with the date and country. A source cited across many prompts matters more than one cited many times in a single prompt.
05Can I compare publishers over time?
Yes. Add up to five domains to a chart and compare their citation counts or share of citations over the period you pick.
06What do I do with sources?
Use them to decide where to act. Join the discussions AI already cites, pursue backlinks on the domains it trusts and write the articles it is missing.
07Do I need to add prompts first?
Yes. Sources appear after you have added prompts and Airefs has run them. Each run adds to the sources you see.
